Creating a Channel

 

Messenger can be organized into channels based on topics, teams, workflows or whatever makes sense for your office. Channels are permanent groups with the added flexibility of being able to add and remove members as needed.

 

Creating a new channel from the Messenger menu:

1.Select the + sign beside Channels to create a new channel.

2.Name your channel and select the members of the group.

3.Designate whether the channel is public or private. Any user can see and chat with a public channel. You must be a member of a private channel to chat with that channel.

 

Private channels are displayed with a lock in the Messenger menu.

 

 

Adding a member to an existing channel:

1.Go to the Messenger menu.

2.Select the channel.

3.Select the people icon at the top of the screen.

4.Select INVITE PEOPLE.

5.Search for the members you want to add.

6.Select INVITE to add the new members to the channel.
