Define Secure Text Settings

Location: Admin

You need Admin privileges to complete this function.

To define your Secure Text settings:

1.Click MENU > Admin > Secure Text Settings.

2.Click on the checkboxes for your desired settings.

Allow SMS Quicksend - This option is checked by default, which means you have the option to send non-secure SMS text messages as well as secure text messages. If you un-check this option it will disable the ability to send a non-secure SMS text message.

Default to Secure Text - When checked, this option will default the Text Message screen to the format required for a secure text message. You can still send an SMS text message by un-checking the Secure Message option located on the bottom of the Text Message screen.

Turn off Secure Texting system generated messages - If patients have any issues when trying to view a secure text message, a message will appear in the practice inbox. Checking this option will stop all those messages. We suggest leaving the Turn off Secure Texting system generated messages checkbox unchecked. Secure text messages are usually important, so you would want to know when the patient is having an issue viewing the message.

Display user's name on text messages - Selecting this option will display the staff person's name who sent the message as part of the text message.

3.Click Save.
