Compose - Send to EHR
Location: Workspace
One of the options available in Compose is the ability to send the item (and attachments) to a patient's chart in the EHR as a PDF document.
1.Click Compose.
2.Search - enter the patient's name then select the patient from the result list.
3.Send to EHR - select this checkbox to send the item to the patient's chart, then click OK.
4.Ordered by Outside Provider - check the box if the item was ordered by a provider outside of your practice.
5.Ordering Provider - if the item was ordered by a provider within the practice, select the provider's name.
6.CC - to send a copy of this item to another provider, select the provider's name.
7.Section - select a section in the patient's chart to store the item.
8.Title - enter a title for the item.
9.Date of Item - defaults to current date but you may change if needed.
10.Time - defaults to the current time but you may change if needed.
11.Notes - enter additional information as needed.
12.Include attachments - if you want to attach one or more documents:
•At the bottom of the page click the + sign to add attachments.
•Navigate to the document location then double click the document to attach.
•Repeat for each document you want to include.
•If you want to rearrange the documents, click on the document then drag it to another position in the attachment list.
4.Click SEND.
