What are Tags?

Tags are a colorful way to organize items in the Updox Inbox.  That visual splash of color can draw your attention without needing to read the subject or open the item. You can even limit which items are shown in your workspace by filtering by the tag color. 

 

The name (and hence the meaning) of each color can be set by a user with Admin privileges. Any user can assign a tag to an item in their workspace. 

 

Here are some example ways to use the tags. Each color could represent a different:

healthcare provider (e.g. Dr. Smith, Dr. Jones)

department (e.g. front desk, lab)

purpose (e.g. prescription refill request, a care summary (CCD) received from an external provider, a message from the patient portal)

priority (e.g. red = high priority)
